Google veteran Adam Stewart (pictured centre) has joined the Vivid Seats board of directors as well as being appointed to the company’s nominating and corporate governance committee.
Stewart brings nearly two decades of experience from his job at Google where he currently serves as vice-president of consumer, government and entertainment.
“We are proud to welcome Adam to Vivid Seats’ board of directors,” said Vivid Seats chief executive Stan Chia.
“He is an expert in performance marketing, a seasoned technology leader, and an experienced board member. We look forward to benefiting from Adam’s insight and guidance, as we continue to diversify our marketing channels while driving efficiencies and repeat orders.”
Trio of promotions at ASM Global
ASM Global has made three promotions in its Middle East North Africa region.
Mark Jan Kar has been promoted to senior vice-president of entertainment, content and programming for the region as well as the general manager of Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
Deb Rogers has been made vice-president of people and culture for Asia and the MENA region while Iain Woolridge has been promoted to chief financial officer for MENA.
Srinivasan leaves Paytm helm
Shreyas Srinivasan (pictured left) has quit his role as Paytm chief executive after Indian food delivery service Zomato acquired Paytm’s ticketing branch for $244.1m (£187m/€223m) in August.
“In August, when the deal between Zomato and Paytm Entertainment closed, It felt like the right time to take a break, fix tech debt of my body and re-discover a passion I can chase for the next 2 decades,” Srinivasan wrote on social media.
“So with a heavy heavy heart, I say goodbye to my friends at Paytm and Insider.in. So long and thanks for all the fish!”
Srinivasan founded Paytm, when it was called Paytm Insider before splitting into two separate entities, in 2014 and worked there for the entirety of the subsequent decade.
Olympia Events bolster communications department
Olympia Events has appointed Andy Price (pictured right) in a new role as director of marketing and communications.
His previous role was as commercial director of ticketing and arenas at the NEC Group, where he oversaw venue programming for both the Utilita Arena Birmingham and newly renamed bp pulse LIVE.
“I’m delighted to welcome Andy to our senior leadership team at Olympia Events,” said Olympia Events chief executive Andy O’Sullivan.
“We are going through a very exciting chapter in our history and we’re growing and strengthening our teams to ensure excellence across the business.”
The Olympia destination in London is set to open late next year and will boast two new hotels, cultural venues, more than 30 restaurants and bars, and 550,000 square feet of office space.
Gainsburg goes
After five years, Scott Gainsburg has left his role as ticketing director at the Michael Cassel Group.
“I’d like to thank the amazing Michael Cassel Group team, as well as all the venues, ticketing professionals and partners I have had the privilege to work with…can’t thank you all enough for your support and guidance,” he posted on social media.
“Plan on taking a bit of break to travel but looking forward to new opportunities and challenges in 2025!”
Ettema departs Tixly for Ormer ICT
Sybolt Ettema has left Tixly after spending just shy of four years at the company.
He now joins Ormer ICT as head of product for the firm’s sports ticketing operation Tymes4.
