The Ticket Factory (TTF) has appointed a new commercial team tasked with creating more sale opportunities and driving profitability throughout the business.
Former consumer sales and marketing director for the company Chris Pile has been appointed as commercial director.
Pile will be joined by Nick Fenton as commercial manager, as they work to build their product base, secure new clients in and around the West Midlands, and sell trade and registration system ExpoWare.
Another key focus for the pair will be on the preparation of key national and high profile ticketing client tenders.
Pile said: “I’m looking forward to the opportunities myself and my team can build and nurture with both clients and partners for The Ticket Factory.
“Our in-house technology and new ExpoWare registration service will be key selling points for us, so driving market awareness of TTF’s products and services is essential to achieving our business goals.”
Aliya Hussain who, in her role as partnerships manager, will be tasked with expanding TTF’s marketing and distribution reach, will join the pair.
In addition, Kelly Sharman, who joined TTF in December 2017, has been appointed group sales manager in the groups department.
The Ticket Factory sells around 2.5 million tickets a year for a range of comedy events, concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, theatre performances, visitor attractions and much more across the UK.
The Ticket Factory is the official box office for the NEC, Arena Birmingham and Genting Arena, and has provided the box office services to Haymarket Exhibitions and the Royal Horticultural Society Flower Shows since 2010. It also secured the contract to be the main national ticket agent for 3A Entertainment, selling show tickets for artists like Eric Clapton WWE and Cornbury Festival.
Director of ticketing for the Ticket Factory, Richard Howle, added: “This is the next exciting stage in The Ticket Factory’s development; only recently we secured an exclusive three-year ticketing contract for Crufts – a fantastic contract win with a high-profile client.
“Our focus is on expanding our service to clients such as Crufts and the product range for our customers. Introducing a dedicated commercial team serves to propel these ambitions.”
