Weezevent has acquired Kaboodle, a fellow event technology business based in the United Kingdom.
This latest acquisition follows last month’s deal with Eventix, which was rebranded as Weeztix in the process.
Weezevent supports events in more than 30 countries, and has offices in London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Berlin, Lausanne, Madrid and Montreal. It has worked with iconic festivals such as Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza, sports clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Stade Français and Royal Antwerp FC, and major properties like Formula 1, the World Ski Championships and the Red Bull Air Race.
Weezevent has processed more than 150 million tickets across 30 countries, and integrating Kaboodle and Weezetix will further enhance the group’s capabilities in self-service and customised ticketing, cashless payments, access control, accreditation and staff management.
“We’ve built a model where event promoters fully own their business, data, and fan experiences. Our mission is to provide the best tools and solutions to achieve this, and welcoming Kaboodle and Weeztix marks a turning point in that journey,” commented Pierre-Henri Deballon, chief executive of Weezevent.
Gareth Cooper, founder and chairman of Kaboodle, added: “We’re delighted to partner with Weezevent for Kaboodle’s next chapter. After growing from a startup to a business transacting millions of tickets, we can now offer clients a much broader service, from cashless to access control, to help them increase their sales and revenue per attendee.”
Kaboodle and Weezevent will retain operational autonomy following the acquisition.
