The North American division of Bologna-headquartered Vivaticket has utilised Alvarado’s line of intelligent admission devices, supporting the organisers of ticketed events across the region.
Vivaticket organises and manages ticketed access control across live events and attractions.
Alvarado’s solutions offer guests the freedom to scan their tickets using their preferred media type – whether that be RFID/NFC, printed or via digital barcodes. This speeds up the entry process for venues and events without the need for additional staff.
Many admission hardware solutions require additional servers to facilitate communication between their hardware and the venue’s chosen ticketing software. However, with Alvarado’s available DirectConnect API protocol, Vivaticket’s ticketing software is able to communicate directly with installed admission devices.
DirectConnect API protocol offers easy-to-follow code in both C# and Java; fast deployment and simplified operation; straight-forward integration for ticket validation; offline validation if Wi-Fi connection is interrupted; and onsite support and training for new venues.
Vivaticket has partnered with Alvarado a number of times over recent years for venues including theatres, museums and amusement parks. Alvarado offers a range of Wi-Fi enabled admission devices including portable or fixed-installed pedestals, turnstiles and barrier gates.
Scott Sauls, Vivaticket’s deputy chief of sales, commented: “Alvarado has been a great partner with Vivaticket. After several partnership installations we are pleased with the support and performance of Alvarado’s products. Alvarado’s API works seamlessly with Vivaticket, offering our clients a wide product selection and a great experience.”
