Skiddle x Spotify
Independent ticketing platform Skiddle has revealed a new integration with music streaming giant Spotify. Music fans will be able to discover and purchase tickets for gigs, club nights and festivals thanks to listings featuring their favourite artists. The ‘Events’ tab will see fans explore upcoming shows, select a date and purchase tickets through Skiddle.
Short ’n’ Sweet
US popstar Sabrina Carpenter has been named as this year’s Fortnite Festival icon. Players of the video game Fortnite will be able to perform the singer’s music as part of the virtual festival’s eighth season which has previously been headlined by the likes of Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Metallica. Players can perform solo or as part of a band on the main stage.
Coachella & Stagecoach streaming
Kicking off today (Friday), live music fans will be able to watch performances from the 2025 edition of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival thanks to live-streaming on YouTube. Across two weekends (April 11-13 and April 18-20), the festival is set to welcome headliners Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone and Travis Scott. Additional acts include Charli XCX, Missy Elliott, The Prodigy, Japanese Breakfast and more.
Meanwhile, Amazon music has been named the exclusive live-stream partner for country music festival Stagecoach. Coachella and Stagecoach were both created by concert and music festival promoter Goldenvoice, and take place at Empire Polo Club, Indio, California.
Stagecoach is sold out for 2025, and will welcome performances from Zach Bryan, Lana Del Rey, Jelly Roll and Luke Combs from April 25-27.
Accesso wins Qiddiya contract
Accesso Technology Group, a technology provider for the attractions industry, has been appointed as the guest experience technology provider for the Qiddiya giga-project in Saudi Arabia. The project is located southwest of Riyadh, Qiddiya City is set to be a destination for entertainment, sports and cultural experiences.
