The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) unveiled the F1 Melbourne Fan Festival 2025, a free space packed with experiences and activities for fans of all ages, yesterday (Monday). The AGPC organises the Australian Formula One Grand Prix weekend, which takes place at a temporary street circuit in Albert Park.
The F1 Melbourne Fan Festival will be hosted in Melbourne Park Oval, just a few miles away.
With tickets for this year’s grand prix already sold out for Saturday and Sunday, guests will still be able to enjoy action from the racetrack for free across five days from March 12 until the end of race day on March 16. Activations will include Virtual Driver Selfies, F1 Blast Lane, an F1 show car and a dedicated games zone.
Fan festival attendees will still be able to enjoy the action on track, while soaking up the atmosphere of a grand prix. Fans will also have the chance to see drivers during live interviews and Q&A sessions across the festival, while the stage will also feature appearances from a mix of sporting and entertainment stars.
“We know families are feeling the pinch, so we’re inviting Victorians to come and be part of this iconic, globally-loved event at the free family festival,” commented Steve Dimopoulos, Victoria’s Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events.
“No other city in the world has an international grand slam, a Formula One Grand Prix, and soon regular season NFL games – Melbourne is the undeniable major events capital of Australia, which creates thousands of jobs for Victorians.”
Not only will F1 sessions be broadcast at the fan festival, but also the full range of on-track action such as Formula 2, Formula 3 and Supercars – in real time.
The festival will also feature a selection of food and drink options.
“I am thrilled to share that this year we are expanding the Grand Prix experience and taking over Melbourne, with the announcement of the free F1 Melbourne Fan Festival 2025 at Melbourne Park Oval,” added AGPC chief executive, Travis Auld.
“Race week is such an exciting time in the city, and this festival will be an extension of the incredible offerings already available within the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.”
