The collaboration also involves self service event ticketing platform Universe which will allow users to access its suite of event management, ticket sales, promotion, check-in and tracking features so they can take control of their shows within SoundCloud.
SoundCloud will also promote these events through a concert discovery section on its home page.
“At Ticketmaster, we’re passionate about helping artists reach more fans by meeting them where they are,” said Ticketmaster’s vice-president of global business development and strategic partnerships Michael Chua
“It’s why we’re thrilled to partner with SoundCloud to provide event management, discovery, and promotional support on SoundCloud, powered by Ticketmaster and Universe.
“SoundCloud is a leader in lowering barriers to entry for music creators – now, Ticketmaster and Universe will enhance that mission by giving artists more control over their live events across more fan touchpoints.”
The development also means that SoundCloud listeners can now discover and buy tickets from their favourite artists directly on the platform.
For musicians, the features are only available through SoundCloud Artist Pro which are claimed to add more value to it as SoundCloud aims to reinforce its “commitment to helping artists grow”.
Ticketmaster has also entered into similar partnerships with the likes of TikTok and Shazam.
