We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…

Live Nation Spain has named Nacho Córdoba as its new head promoter.

Córdoba, who has been with the company for over a decade, is tasked with overseeing promotional activities and contributing to the strategic direction of Live Nation Spain’s events and partnerships.

Live Nation Spain said: “With over a decade of dedication to the company, Nacho brings a wealth of experience across all areas of the live music business. the leadership team at Live Nation is proud of his achievements and offers full support as he steps into this new role. Nacho has proven himself to be a committed and visionary leader, and he is seen as a key figure in the future of the company.”

Melissa Bubb-Clarke (pictured left) has been appointed as chief commercial officer at Live Nation Canada after departing her role as SVP of music and live events at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.

Bubb-Clarke worked closely with the Live Nation team while overseeing entertainment programming at MLSE, which included high-profile concerts at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena promoted by Live Nation. Bubb-Clarke previously worked at Live Nation as regional VP of marketing and later VP of client service.

AXS has established its first French office in Paris, appointing Lucile Genest to lead strategic operations.

The establishment of an office in France will help to expand AXS’s presence in Europe, building on UK partners including The O2, OVO Arena Wembley, Venues South Wales, BST Hyde Park and All Points East festivals. In Sweden, AXS is the exclusive ticketing provider for ASM Global-owned Stockholm Live! as well as Swedish football teams.

Zomato recently acquired Paytm Insider, the fintech’s entertainment ticketing business, and is set to soon launch its new District app, which will include restaurant booking, live events ticketing as well as holiday rentals.
