Dutch festival A State of Trance has brought in event marketing specialists Boest to increase ticket sales for its return to Rotterdam Ahoy in February.

A State of Trance is a major trance and progressive music festival in the Netherlands, founded by Dutch DJ and music producer Armin van Buuren. It started life as a radio show in 2001, before growing into a festival that welcomes thousands of visitors.

Boest will work on a marketing campaign to boost ticket sales through a multichannel advertising strategy, utilising platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Google.

The company has previously supported online marketing campaigns for other music festivals such as Mysteryland, Verknipt and Defqon 1, and is a specialist in maximising ticket sales.

“We have been working with the festival organiser, Insomniac Europe, for AMF for almost a year now and are happy that we have been given the confidence to also take over the online marketing for A State of Trance,” says Etienne Looije, operational director at Boest.

Lennard Schrijvers, marketing manager at Insomniac Europe, which organises A State of Trance, added: “The events industry is a unique sector in which decisions are often made at the last minute that can completely change the strategy. This is also the case with our brands.

“What is great about working with Boest is that this never poses a problem; they are always ready to make adjustments and think about the new strategy. This way, our advertising campaign always fits seamlessly with what is happening around the brand at that moment.”

A State of Trance will take place at multi-purpose complex Rotterdam Ahoy on February 21 and 22, 2025.
