People on the Move: Co-op Live, AXS and more

We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…

Rebecca Kane Burton has been appointed executive vice president of venue management for Oak View Group International.

In the newly created role, Kane Burton (pictured left) is tasked with driving expansion of OVG’s venue services offering in the UK and Europe. She will spearhead business development strategy in the region and focus on growing OVG’s venue services, which includes Wembley Stadium, Murrayfield Stadium and Co-op Live.

Kane Burton was previously interim general manager of Co-op Live, a role she held since the time of its opening in April 2024. OVG has announced that Guy Dunstan will join the venue as its new general manager and senior vice president from October 21.

Kane Burton’s previous experience includes as CEO of Sodexo Live!, CEO of LW Theatres, and vice president and general manager of The O2. Dunstan joins Co-op Live from NEC Group, where he was managing director of arenas and responsible for the Resorts World Arena and Utilita Arena in Birmingham for four years.

Kane Burton said: “This is a pivotal time to be joining Oak View Group as it enters an exciting period of international growth. OVG has quickly become the global leader in venue management, and I am looking forward to broadening their impact on the fan experience with new partners in Europe.”

Vaughan promoted at AO Arena

ASM Global has promoted Gemma Vaughan (pictured right) to the role of acting general manager at AO Arena in Manchester.

Vaughan joined ASM Global in 2023 as sales and marketing director at AO Arena. During more than a decade in the live entertainment industry, she has supported acts such as Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and Faithless.

Chris Bray, president of ASM Global Europe, said: “The AO Arena is embarking on another year of unprecedented demand. Gemma has a wealth of understanding of the wider UK music business and the needs of the local Manchester market. Through her work at the forefront of the recent £60m reimagination of the Arena she has demonstrated her passion for this brilliant city, its cultural footprint and our ambition to deliver the ultimate in live entertainment experiences to the people who live here. It’s a very exciting time for the venue and for the city.”

Harry Richardson has joined AXS as director, product for global personalisation and partnerships.

Richardson was previously head of product (grocery) at Amazon and held the same position at online grocery company Rohlik Group.

He said: “The super talented global Product team and the dynamic world of ticketing have already shown me how exciting this journey is going to be and I can’t wait to get going.”

Three new arrivals at Connect&Go

Connect&GO, the provider of integrated attractions management solutions, has announced the addition of three senior appointments to its leadership team.

Gautier Poiret (pictured centre) has been named vice president of marketing and Stéphane St-Arnauld has been appointed vice president of engineering. Connect&Go has also brought in Cédric Dutertre as senior account executive – France. Connect&Go also brought in seven new hires last month.

The company said: “These strategic hires are a testament to Connect&GO’s commitment to growth and innovation. As the company continues its Series B financing round, the addition of more key positions underscores its vision of becoming a worldwide leader in the attractions management space.”
