Paralympic ticket sales have exceeded 1.75 million, with many sessions close to selling out.
There were more than a million tickets still available following the conclusion of the Olympic Games in Paris, but organisers always expected an influx of sports fans securing their spot for the Paralympics after being inspired.
The Paris 2024 Paralympics begin on August 28 and will run until September 8.
More than 700,000 tickets for the Paralympics have been purchased since the start of the Olympic Games.
Roughly 4,400 athletes will compete in the Paralympics, and guests from 144 countries have purchased tickets to watch the action. The top five countries for ticket sales outside of France include the UK (27%), Germany (14%), US (10%), Belgium (7%) and the Netherlands (5%). Some 92% are French buyers.
Some of the most popular sports where tickets are close to selling out include Wheelchair Fencing, Para Taekwondo, Para Track Cycling, Para Equestrian and Blind Football.
Para athletics ticket sales have also been strong – almost 500,000 have been sold.
Tickets are still available for a number of sports from as little as €15 (£13/$17), while tickets are also still available for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
