The Newcastle Falcons rugby union club is set to launch a new digital season ticket for the upcoming Premiership Rugby season.

In a bid to reduce the club’s environmental footprint and offer fans a convenient way to access matches at the 10,200-capacity Kingston Park, the club has opted to introduce digital season tickets.

Beginning with this season, supporters will receive their 2024-25 digital season ticket via email. They will then be able to download and store it in their Apple or Google Wallet. The new digital season tickets will be delivered from September 6.

“We are thrilled to introduce digital season tickets as part of our sustainability initiatives,” commented Newcastle Falcons’ head of ticketing Alison Carthy.

“This move not only supports our environmental goals but also enhances the fan experience, with added convenience and security. We understand that this is a big change and we are committed to supporting our fans every step of the way with workshops and personalised assistance.”

Physical cards will still be offered under certain circumstances.

The 2024-25 Premiership Rugby season will kick off on September 20 with the Falcons facing Bristol Bears at home.
