Independent event ticketing platform Skiddle has added a new feature to its toolkit for event planning, the ‘Event Series’.

The new tool is available and free to use in the Skiddle Promotion Centre and has been designed for companies that organise recurring events, allowing for a year’s worth of listings to be created in less than five minutes.

By simplifying the process of adding and managing a series of events across the calendar year, organisers will only have to enter the specifics of their event once. After completing the listing and selecting the dates over which the event will repeat, the feature will then automatically populate the rest – minimising the time taken up by manual entry.

“A tremendous amount of effort has gone into developing the Event Series feature and seamlessly integrating it into the event listing flow in the Skiddle Promotion Centre,” commented Neil Meredith, head of development at Skiddle.

“This new tool allows promoters to set up and manage their events quickly and efficiently, giving them more time to focus on the event itself.”

The feature also boasts a number of other advantages including group events in a series together, making them easier to locate on the Skiddle platform, and cross-promoting dates with available tickets should one of the events in the series sell out, increasing the potential for sales.

In May, Skiddle published a new report on mental health which found that 50% of participants had experienced periods of poor mental health due to their job in the music and events industry.
