Australia’s Spilt Milk is the latest music festival in the country to be cancelled this year, following the likes of Splendour in the Grass and Groovin the Moo.

Organisers made the announcement through Instagram, and said that the festival was cancelled because the Spilt Milk fans deserved could not be delivered.

“Sorry pookies, we couldn’t get you the Spilt Milk you deserve this year. Sooo imma dip for a bit and come back when I can make all ur dreams come true. i miss u xx SPILT MILK,” the statement read.

Spilt Milk is a travelling festival that heads to Canberra, Gold Coast, Ballarat and Perth. Last year, the headliners included Post Malone and Dom Dolla.

The festival was originally launched in 2016.

Earlier in the year, Groovin the Moo was cancelled due to poor ticket sales. The event was established in 2005 by Cattleyard Promotions, and visited locations outside of the east coast’s big three cities – Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The following month, Splendour in the Grass – which is organised by Live Nation-backed Secret Sounds – announced that it was cancelling its 2024 edition just two weeks after revealing its line-up.

While the organisers of Spilt Milk did not offer the reason behind the cancellation, the statement suggests that the festival will attempt to come back next year.
