Tixr targets European growth through new London office

North American ticketing marketplace Tixr has opened a new London office as it seeks expansion in the UK and European markets.

Industry veteran Stephanie Rosa has been appointed to serve as managing director of Tixr’s London office. Rosa will lead a new local team to build upon the company’s existing roster of partners in the region and its growth in North America.

Tixr’s existing partners in Europe include Space Ibiza, Forbidden Forest Festival, Eden Nightclub in Ibiza and UK digital radio station Kisstory.

“The word is out about Tixr, I couldn’t be more excited to lead our UK operations and European expansion from our new London office,” said Rosa, who was previously Tixr’s director of partnerships and sales operations.

“There’s no modern platform more capable of servicing such a wide array of complex events, and the opportunities in the region are immense.

“The fantastic regional team we’ve built is honoured to partner with iconic sell-out festivals like Forbidden Forest that value design, innovation, and share in our mission to deliver the best fan experience possible, starting with the ticket.”

Move follows Tixr’s expansion in Canada

Tixr services events in 10 European countries and powers more than 500 live entertainment brands in 40 countries. Since its inception, Tixr has processed nearly $2bn in transactions through its platform.

The launch of the London office, located at London Bridge, follows its expansion in Canada earlier this year. Stéphane McGarry was named vice president, partnerships and country manager to spearhead growth in the market.

Tixr’s Canadian business includes partnerships with events such as Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, New City Gas, Sonic Unyon and Sonic Concerts.
