Worcester Railers Hockey Club, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders, has teamed up with Kore, a provider of partner, fan and business intelligence solutions for the sports and entertainment industry.

Founded in 2016, the Railers are a professional ice hockey team based in Worcester, Massachusetts. The club features in the North Division of the Eastern Conference of the ECHL, a professional minor ice hockey league, and plays home games at the 14,800-capacity DCU Center.

Kore has been brought in by the Railers to optimise ticket sales and lead distribution operations. The short-term goal is to integrate the club’s existing CRM with Kore’s ticketing platform to work sales leads more effectively, with easy access to fan information. The platform also facilitates lead distribution and enables the launch of marketing campaigns thanks to the Fan Finder tool.

Moving forward, the Worcester Railers’ ambition is to develop a comprehensive reporting suite, which will provide automated reporting directly from the ticketing system. This means the club will have a better ability to analyse and act on ticket sales data, with plans to add Kore’s Sponsorship and Partner Management solution to manage partnership investments.

“We wanted systems that worked together seamlessly. With Kore, we get automated pipeline reporting and the ability to push data back into our ticketing system via Kore’s Ticketing Data Manager (TDM) feature, which is crucial for our operations,” said David Aitken, vice-president of ticket sales and corporate partnerships for the Worcester Railers.
