Entertainment, media and communications giant Vivendi has completed the sale of its festival and international ticketing activities to CTS Eventim in a deal worth approximately €300m (£255m/$327m).

A put option agreement had been signed on April 2, 2024.

The deal included the sale of See Tickets, which is the number two ticketing provider in the UK. It also operates in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, as well as the US.

Last year, See Tickets sold roughly 44 million tickets.

Vivendi’s ticketing and festival activities collectively produced €137m in revenue in 2023. The ticketing business generated roughly €105m of this figure, while the festival side of things brought in €32m.

Reports of Vivendi looking to sell See Tickets and its festival activities first appeared in September last year.

Vivendi’s performance hall activities, including L’Olympia in Paris, as well as See Tickets France and Brive Festival, were not part of the deal.
