Deutsche Bahn (DB) has released two tickets especially for fans travelling for the UEFA European Championship from June 14 to July 14 this year.
The DB Ticket Euro 2024 lets match ticket holders travel directly to and from a stadium at a discounted price of €29.90 (£25.60/$32.50) each way within Germany.
DB, Germany’s national railway company, has stated that the tickets are train-specific and subject to availability.
The Interrail Pass Euro 2024 is billed as the “ideal ticket for football fans from other European countries”.
The offer is available with a 25% discount and allows match ticket holders travel to and from Germany from 32 countries.
Customer can also choose between a set number of travel days on which the pass is not only valid for travel to and from a destination, but also for unlimited travel within Germany.
Prices range from €159 to €396 for people aged 12-27 while 28 to 59-year-olds can pay between €213 and €527.
Those over 60 are offered tickets from €192 to €474 while children aged 4-11 go free.
“Sustainable mobility is an integral part of UEFA Euro 2024,” said member of the management board for long distance passenger transport at DB Michael Peterson.
“Our partnership includes attractive ticket offers for football fans from Germany and all over Europe. We will deploy the largest ICE fleet ever during this summer of football, with over 400 trains.”
As part of its “Strong Rail” strategy, DB set the course for its fleet expansion in advance of the tournament.
This means that it can deploy longer intercity express (ICE) trains during the event and offer trains on additional operating days.
In addition, 14 more special Euro 2024 trains will run daily to bring DB’s extra seat offering to 10,000 on each match day.
