Tickets for World Rugby’s HSBC SVNS 2024 event in Perth this January will be available for fans in the pre-sale tomorrow (Wednesday), with the general sale set to begin on Friday.
HBF Park in Perth will provide the backdrop for the third round of the newly rebranded HSBC SVNS series from January 26-28. The three-day event will feature the best 12 men’s and 12 women’s rugby sevens teams, with fans able to enjoy an immersive festival atmosphere with live entertainment, music, DJs and more.
Participating nations will include Fiji, South Africa, Samoa, the US and the New Zealand All Blacks Sevens.
In partnership with the Western Australian Government, through Tourism Western Australia, World Rugby will also stage the HSBC SVNS series in Perth in 2025.
Numerous hospitality options will be available for rugby sevens fans, including the golden ticket which will offer fast-track entry, premium food and drink, and a full programme to enjoy in private lounges and the best seats in the house. The beach club will also feature food markets showcasing flavours from HSBC SVNS locations for fans to explore.
The 20,500-capacity HBF Park in Perth was recently upgraded ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which was hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The stadium has also provided the stage for major music concerts from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sir Elton John.
“Rugby fans near and far should mark their calendars, with HSBC SVNS tickets going on sale in only a few days’ time,” said Western Australia Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting another stand-out rugby fixture following the Bledisloe Cup in 2019 and 2021 and the Australian National Rugby League (NRL) State of Origin contest in 2019 and 2022, and I have no doubt that rugby fans will be out in droves again to witness the HSBC SVNS, while injecting millions in visitor spend in WA’s tourism and hospitality businesses.
“WA is a world-class host of major sporting events, and we look forward to cheering on the Australian team as they go up against world-class players from teams around the world.”
World Rugby Sevens general manager Sam Pinder added: “We are excited for tickets to go on sale this week for the highly anticipated Australian leg of HSBC SVNS, with teams, athletes and fans looking forward to experiencing Perth as a world-class city, sport hub and global destination.
“HSBC SVNS PER will bring together a truly immersive festival of rugby, food, music and experiences to create the ultimate weekend-long get together for young people and will undoubtedly be the hottest ticket in town to kick off a busy and exciting year in 2024.”
