BBC Introducing Live, a music discovery event, is set to return to three cities across the UK as it looks to discover young musicians, creatives and industry talent across the country.
This year’s BBC Introducing Live will take place between October 11 – 14 across London, Manchester and Cardiff.
The events will host a range of activities including educational panels with industry veterans, immersive workshops, a full schedule of live performances and opportunities for unsigned artists to practice their performing skills.
BBC Introducing Live will also feature ‘feedback centres’ to provide constructive feedback on demos and work in progress.
“The return of BBC Introducing Live marks a pivotal moment in the calendar for the music industry,” said Kelly Betts, editor, BBC Music Introducing.
“BBC Introducing are 100% committed to providing a nurturing environment where young artists and creatives can find their voices, learn from industry experts, and connect with peers who share their passion. This event is ongoing testament to the enduring power of music to unite, inspire, and shape our culture.”
BBC Introducing, which is BBC Radio’s platform for discovering unsigned talent, this year partnered with Beyond The Music Festival in Manchester, the Roundhouse Rising Festival in London and Wales Millennium Centre’s Llais festival in Cardiff to bring a mix of live performances, workshops, open mic events, and more.
Working alongside Beyond The Music Festival, which will take place October 11 and 12 in Manchester, BBC Introducing will curate a panel on UK music’s talent pipeline and the development of new artists. This will be accompanied by a day of live music at the iconic Band on the Wall venue.
Roundhouse Rising will be a three-day festival at the Roundhouse in London, and BBC Introducing will curate six panels on topics such as how the scheme can help an artist; being an independent artist; record labels and more. This festival will take place between October 12-14, and will also feature performances from a number of artists including new Roundhouse resident artists.
BBC Introducing Live, BBC Horizons/Gorwelion – which is a scheme delivered by BBC Cymru Wales in partnership with Arts Council Wales – and Llais, Cardiff’s international arts festival, have worked together to feature a line-up of local artists. The event will take place October 13 at Wales Millennium Centre.
BBC Introducing has helped during the early careers of major UK artists such as Ed Sheeran, Florence + The Machine, Little Simz, Celeste, Sam Fender, Lewis Capaldi and more.
