Tennis Australia and hospitality company STH Australia have announced the launch of AO Travel, a partnership offering tennis fans the chance to experience high-end travel and hospitality for the sporting event.
Through the AO Travel partnership, fans will be able to purchase travel options and experiences, with an initial focus on the Australian domestic market for the 2022 event. AO Travel will then open up to a wider group of global travellers in 2022 for the Australian Open in 2023.
David Caldwell, group general manager for STH Australia and New Zealand, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing our expertise and passion for creating everything fans need for a seamless, premium and unforgettable experience to the Australian Open.
“There’s no doubt that this would-favourite event features on the bucket list of any discerning sports fan and we are excited to see AU Travel flourish as global travel re-emerges in 2022 and beyond.”
STH Australia and New Zealand already boasts partnerships with some of Australia’s high-profile sporting events, including rugby, rugby league and racing.
Rob Pickering, director of ticketing and travel at Tennis Australia, added: “We are excited to launch a long-term, innovative and successful global strategic partnership with STH, supported by other partners that will continue to be an important part of the AO as sub agents.
“The partnership will allow us to jointly focus on the AO travel platform and brand, to not just meet but exceed the expectations of fans to the AO.”
