The Cleveland Indians Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise has unveiled its new Tribe Flexible Voucher Plans, a new ticket option that will offer flexibility for fans.
The plans are offered in 20, 40 or 80 voucher packages, which can be redeemed as a single-game ticket for regular season games during the 2021 season.
The initiative allows fans to purchase voucher packages without locking themselves into a dedicated schedule. Vouchers can be redeemed up until two hours before the game.
The Flexible Voucher Plans will also provide fans savings compared to single-game ticket prices. One voucher is equivalent to one single-game ticket, and fans can redeem up to eight vouchers per game to bring friends and family along.
The mobile-only plans are available in three general seating locations – Bleachers, Upper Level and Lower Level. Fans can select the seating location package that fits their budget, and can select different seats within that location throughout the season.
For example, if a fan selects the Upper Level Flexible Voucher Plan, they will be able to choose seats in the Upper Box, Upper Reserve of Family Deck sections during the season.
The 2021 Flexible Voucher Plans go on sale starting October 5.
In July, the Indians launched options for fans to receive either a flexible bonus credit or a refund for all home games through the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2020 MLB season finished up its regular season on Sunday and played the shortened season behind closed doors. The sport usually derives about 40 per cent of its annual revenue from the in-stadium experience, like ticket sales, concessions and parking fees.
