ASM Global-owned Coliseo de Puerto Rico has teamed up with US firm TixTrack to integrate its Nliven ticketing system with Puerto Rican ticketing company Ticketera.
Nliven is a scalable cloud-based solution that is designed to display up to 22,000 individual searchable seats on a mobile handset. It can also display reserved seats and general admission sections on the same plan, providing full end-to-end ticketing, including box office counter sales and integrated access control.
The 18,500-capacity Coliseo required a ticketing programme that could manage the load of up to 40,000 ticket buyers during a sales process. The venue required a system that allows visitors to choose their seats from a map, deliver electronic tickets and provide business intelligence tools to help promoters maximise their revenues.
Following the installation of Nliven, the Coliseo conducted a series of on-sales for Daddy Yankee and sold out 10 individual shows in record time.
Manny Morales, founder and partner of Ticketera, said: “Nliven has been a key partner for our success. The flexibility and adaptability of its technology allowed us to meet aggressive timelines as part of our integration to Coliseo de Puerto Rico. In that process and with TixTrack’s support, we smoothly achieved the migration of 25 events that had been previously on sale for the venue, and executed additional heavy on sales, establishing new traffic and sales records for the venue.”
Ticketera teamed up with the Coliseo, which is the largest indoor arena in Puerto Rico, in August 2019, after 15 years in partnership with Ticketpop.
Eduardo Cajina, general manager, Coliseo de Puerto, added: “Ticketera and Nliven are driving innovation to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. The integration of new technologies and the improved capabilities that they bring to the table have quickly converted into increased sales and traffic for our venue.”
