This week AEG Presents announced that Kelly Stelbasky (pictured right) has been appointed as senior vice-president, global touring. Stelbasky joins the firm after working as vice-president, US concerts for Live Nation, where she booked and operated stadium, arena, and amphitheatre concert tours in North America.
“The significant worldwide growth and expansion of AEG Presents these past few years has created the need for additional seasoned executives like Kelly,” said AEG Presents president of global touring and Talent, Gary Gersh. “There is no person more suited to step into this position and nobody more qualified to help us build our artist development strategy and global touring plans for our artists.”
Meanwhile, ticketing technology firm Lyte has appointed Gregory Fulton as chief product officer. Fulton joins Lyte from NextRoll (previously AdRoll), a global programmatic growth marketing platform, where he served as senior vice-president & global head of product.
Fulton said: “I’ve spent years watching how the combination of machine learning and user-centric design can revolutionise a large technology category. Lyte’s technology is both the solution and the alternative to ticket fraud, price gouging, and other problems associated with the experience of live event ticketing.”
Elsewhere, Singapore Sports Hub has named Lionel Yeo as its new chief executive, with effect from February 2020. Yeo joins the integrated sports, entertainment and lifestyle hub after six years as the chief executive of the Singapore Tourism Board.
He said: “The Singapore Sports Hub is a major national project that I had been involved with during my time in government service. I am aware of the challenges SportsHub faces and also of its achievements and tremendous potential. I am humbled to be given the opportunity to serve as its CEO, and look forward to engaging with all stakeholders to build on its success for Singapore.”
Finally, ASM Global named Mitch List (pictured left) as its new regional booking director for the southern USA. He will oversee booking efforts for the firm’s 24 venues in the southern region of the US, which include The Altria Theater in Richmond, Virginia and the N. Charleston Performing Arts Center in South Carolina.
List joins ASM Global from Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum where he served as the assistant general manager.
