The FIFA Club World Cup 2019 in Qatar has launched a Visa Presale to give cardholders the first opportunity to purchase tickets.
Tickets are priced in three categories, starting at QAR 25 for Category 3 tickets up to QAR 400 for a Category 1 ticket for the third place and final matches.
Fans purchasing a single ticket for double-header matchdays will be able to attend both games at the stadium.
The last-minute sales phase will begin in November and will run until the end of the tournament. During that period, tickets will also be available for purchase on the FIFA website.
The onsale will run through to October 31 and matches will be played from December 11 to 21 at three venues in Qatar.
The question of demand looms over the event after Qatar’s edition of the IAAF World Athletics Championships earlier this month faced dire attendance figures. The local organising committee (LOC) blamed the empty seats on scheduling for global TV viewership and boycotts. It was later revealed that universities in Doha had been offered free tickets to the event to help fill the stands.
Qatar is also the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which has been moved to November and December to avoid the scorching hot weather of the summer months when the event is usually held.
