Ministry of Sound booking partner Coalition Agency has appointed event payments company TicketCo to power its expansion drive across Europe.
London-based Coalition Agency, which also works with Hedkandi, has previously employed external promoters to provide marketing and sales support for its tours outside the UK. As part of its global growth strategy the live entertainment booking agency, brand consultant and event curator has appointed TicketCo to enable it to manage the marketing and sales function of its European tours.
TicketCo, a payment platform that entered the UK market from Norway this year, will provide Coalition Agency with technology to manage sales and marketing via one platform.
Owen Kent, creative director of Coalition Agency said: “We have been looking for the right tools to expand our business outside the UK. With TicketCo we are now ready to go abroad.
“We want to run our own tours throughout Europe in collaboration with venue owners and local promoters.
“The two key factors to do so is ticketing and marketing, both of which the TicketCo technology handles smooth and efficiently in one joint operation.
“From now on we can have these productions on tour across Europe, managed from our London headquarters. This opens up a lot of new opportunities for us.”
TicketCo opened a London office in March, announcing plans to disrupt and simplify event ticketing and payments in the UK. Its clients now include Junkyard Golf Club, an indoor golf course with venues in London and Manchester.
David Kenny, UK country manager of TicketCo, said: “We are looking forward to supporting Coalition Agency with its strategy to grow its European market.
“Our tech is an idea fit for Coalition Agency, as it makes payments easy. The unified platform integrates payments with cutting edge marketing tools and will enable Coalition Agency to take control of its sales and marketing function.”
