US sports broadcaster ESPN has extended its partnership with independent online ticket marketplace Vivid Seats.
Under the agreement, Vivid Seats will continue to serve as the official ticket provider of ESPN across digital platforms.
All transactions will be backed by Vivid Seats’ 100% Buyer Guarantee, which provides fans with a safe and secure way to buy tickets to games.
Vivid Seats first linked up with ESPN in February 2017, replacing StubHub as the network’s official ticketing partner. Vivid Seats benefits from on-air radio and podcast activations, along with fully integrated digital placements.
Tricia Betron, senior vice-president of sales and marketing at ESPN, said: “Serving sports fans with a highly personalised experience is a priority we share with Vivid Seats. With this deeper level of integration on ESPN’s digital platforms, we are able to expand our reach and scale across numerous touchpoints to the right audiences and allows us to deliver seamless, data-driven ticketing solutions to drive media performance.”
Vivid Seats’ chief commercial officer, Geoff Lester, added: “By aligning with ESPN, the most ubiquitous brand in sports, we have been able to showcase our best-in-class services to millions of fans over the last year alone. Vivid Seats looks forward to continuing to evolve our robust relationship with ESPN to provide even more fans with easy access to the live sports they want to see.”
Vivid Seats’ sports portfolio also includes the University of Notre Dame, the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Clippers.
