Gateway Ticketing Systems has been selected to provide an integrated ticketing service to the soon-to-be-opened Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia.
The museum will utilise Pennsylvania-based Gateway’s point-of-sale software for ticketing, resource management, stored value and upsell functionality, as well as admission control.
The Philadelphia attraction, scheduled to open on April 19, is expected to attract 550,000 visitors a year.
Online ticket sales for the museum, powered by Gateway’s eGalaxy web store, are due to go on sale today (February 22).
“We selected Gateway Ticketing Systems for many reasons,” Museum of the American Revolution’s chief operating officer ZeeAnn Mason said. “Their extensive museum experience and encompassing solutions enable us to unify our operations.
“We are pleased that Gateway’s headquarters are within an hour’s drive. It’s not often that you get to ‘shop local’ for a global software provider.”
Gateway recently added Digonex’s dynamic pricing technology to its event management and ticketing solutions.
Don Eash, executive vice president at Gateway, said: “They’re our neighbour and we want to support them in providing visitors to Philadelphia with an incredible experience. We know that they’ll fast become one of Philly’s most-loved attractions.”
