eBay, the online marketplace which owns StubHub, has acquired ticket systems management developer Ticket Utils.
eBay said it will be incorporating the company’s technology into StubHub, to which Ticket Utils is already integrated.
US-based Ticket Utils was founded in 2010, and eBay said it was the company’s comprehensive offering that made it such an attractive proposition.
“Ticket Utils is already a favourite among ticket sellers because of its ease, reliability and multi-device accessibility,” said eBay in a statement. “Ticket Utils’ platform and feature set are expected to help maximise sell-through and better automate the inventory management process for large sellers on StubHub.
“Ticket Utils also supports multiple currencies and language, which will enable sellers to operate more effectively in international markets and take advantage of StubHub’s significant global expansion through our planned acquisition of Ticketbis.”
