New York City FC has opted to continue its partnership with Ticketmaster, which has worked with the Major League Soccer (MLS) club since its inaugural season almost 10 years ago.

The club’s official app already integrates Ticketmaster Ignite, enabling fans to purchase and manage tickets, as well as gain access to venue information, on mobile devices.

Behind the scenes, New York City FC will continue to utilise insights from Ticketmaster to engage with new and existing fans, further personalising the live event experience.

NYCFC plays its home games at Yankee Stadium, a venue it shares with Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees.

In December, Ticketmaster also renewed its deal with the New York Jets and New York Giants National Football League (NFL) teams, as well as MetLife Stadium.

“We’re delighted to have Ticketmaster continue as our official ticketing provider,” said Andres Gonzalez, New York City FC vice-president of partnerships. “Together, we will continue to provide top-class fan engagement and a smooth ticketing experience for our fans through our official New York City FC app which leverages Ticketmaster’s industry-leading technology.”

Clay Luter, Ticketmaster executive vice-president and co-head of sports, added: “Our focus on innovation and delivering a seamless ticketing journey perfectly complements New York City FC’s pursuit of personalised fan engagement.

“Together, we’re dedicated to providing New York City FC fans the best ticketing experience for years to come.”
